LOVE
"My life is a reflection of the love of God"

When Jesus spoke of love, he used one of four words. Translated into Greek they are storge to describe familial love, philia to describe love for a friend and eros for sensual love. The word he used most often, though, was agape--God's love--the highest form of love.

God's love is my foundation, the source from which I draw my strength, and the power that enables me to live each day in an awareness of God's presence. I may experience many types of love, but it is agape that gives each experience meaning and substance.

When I pray for others, I expresss agape. When I rest in God's presence, I experience agape. God's love empowers and completes my life.

My personal opinion:

This is one of the best articles for me pertaining to love.  It is so true and so sacred the we ought to read this everyday before we start our day to be able to keep focus on who we are and what our characters should be.. Love is the greatest thing.  Faith and hope are vitally necessary...but as important as they are they are not more important then Love.  Jesus gave us One new commandment which is to Love one another as he loved us.  He said that this would be the way the world knows that we are his diciples.(See John 13-34).

Love is not theory or talk but action.  It reveals in the way we talk to people,  how we treat them and what we do or don't do for them.  Love has many very practical facets and can be seen in a variety of ways. For example:  Love is patient, when people are walking in Love, they are long suffering with the weakenss and faults of others.  Instead of believing the worst, Love always believes the best in every person.  Love is not rude, it actually strives to have good manners and that it is something we desperately need in society today.

Love takes time to say 'please' or 'Thank you'.  Love takes time to really listen when others are talking.  It is generally interested in others.  Love builds people up-- it edifies.  Love does not find fault and critizies.

One of the facets of Love that I enjoy thinking about is that Love covers a multitude of sins.  Love does not expose peoples faults instead it actually covers them.  Unless of course, something really needs to be exposed and then love handles the situation appropriately and with wisdom.  So often we rush to tell every negative things we hear or know about anybody but real Love does not behave that way.  Love treats other people the way it wants to be treated  Ask yourself, would I want someone to spread rumors about me and be a tale--bearer?  Or...would I want them to cover my faults and pray for me?  Of course we know the answer, but still we often follow the flesh and do what we know we should not do.

Be hopeful at all times and walk in Faith, but above all seek Love and walk in it.  God is Love, and when we walk in Love we show him to those we come in contact with.  In Jesus name AMEN.

I am very disappointed in the world this year!!!! I have been reading your post, and its very sad that people give false hope on helping another person. I dont understand!!! this happened to me on a tree for the kids, and so we are going without one this year. Unless someone follows through, but im not asking for help, as it is hard to swallow your pride, and face the fact that i cant give them what they deserve, and to have false help on the way, just create even more disappointment to the children. We will all grow from this struggle. I know its hard to understand right now, but looking back at how far i have come with my kids, and digging us out the shelter, better school, and more love in our home. I know it can be done. Im sorry for the let downs. Trust, i am in tears all the time. Being a full time mom of 3 boys, and in collage full time, thinking of the bigger picture. Im scared also, im broke, and confused, and i have to deal with life by myself, at the same time protect the kids from the struggle at the same time.

Did i tell you that i had to pull out my own tooth with plyers last week. Yea but think God it wasnt a front tooth..lol see there is always something good in the bad. Now im dreaming every night that all my teeth are crumbling in my mouth...  This is how it is for the people that dont have great jobs and great insurance. Look at my pic, im a good looking girl, That was hard to swallow. But my son was right there, and he will remember what i went through when he was a child. Wow, this is what memories we create. While the upper class eat steak, and travel around the world. We went from apples to ramon noddles.

well i have decided to use this site to let it out.. I mean if i keep going on in this lets play like life is great mode, i might just lose all my hair, or worse.... Its true there is alot of great programs out there. But its not easy, and alot of the big places are tapped out, over load!!!! I feel everyone at this point. Im sorry, I wish i could be the Leander as i have been most my life. I see the struggle all around me, including in my home. In our time in need i think it is important to be great full and see the people around us that also need help. Im in Austin Tx, the homeless are here in high numbers. So i know my place in this world has changed. Im not the lender, but i am the beautiful young woman that keeps closts and basic need items in my trunk. Im also the girl who picks up people walking in the rain. Im the girl that had to learn to change a tire, there for i stop the lady on the side of the road to help, or ever do it myself. The world will never make my heart hard. There is nothing wrong with checking in on a stranger!!!! Lets not judge in this time of need, just do our part. I don't go to church at this time, but there are only 2 main laws that if we go by, things in life would be 100% better.  Love God, love each other.....  Hang in there friends,  Jess

Please help!!  I am trying to pay a $448 power bill to keep the lights on and I have to pay my rent.  I am a Veteran of the United States Army, and I have 2 school age children and 1 infant on Formula.  I would greatly appreciate any kind of help.  God bless us all.
